Good Afternoon All, After our officer's meeting on Monday 8/31/09, we have decided to go with passing out candy and eggrolls as a way to show our multicultural-ness. If anyone wants to dress up in traditional clothes, we would be very appreciative. As stated in the minutes from the meeting, ROBERT AND MENG will be making the new member questionnaire, TONY and HLI will be making the poster board and banner. TERI and JACKIE will be bringing candy to pass out. Houa also mentioned that the club fair will start at 10 am-1pm. We are looking for volunteers to hang around the booth so we can all inform the students, faculty and visitors about our club. This is also a time to recruit new members. So please try to invite all of your friends or family that are in any of your classes to join the club. It is imperative that we recruit new members so we can easily gain more funds from SGB for our end of the semester head count. This also goes along with networking and being able to get out of our comfort zones and talking to people we don't know. Another reminder, our meeting dates are from Tuesdays 12-1. (is this correct?!) We are waiting for a room to schedule this with. Houa will be getting back to me on this. ATTENDANCE: Terilyn, Robert, Meng Lee, Tony Lee, Houa Lee(advisor), Por Shoua Xiong, Nyia Thao, Koua Thao AGENDA: - Houa brought to our attention that SGB has a new constitution that SGB Reps need to read. If there is no SGB Rep, any of the officers can read this.
- SGB will be having elections for their officers. (more dates to come)
- We don't need to attendance forms for SGB anymore, Officers decided to do it for our club's purpose.
- OFFICERS--- if we need to submit invoices, please note that all checks are now being processed on Tuesdays only. We also need to deposit checks and donations as soon as we get them due to bad checks.
- SGB has also okay'ed spending $50 or less for club meetings. This can be for Pizza lunches, sub sandwiches.
- The club has as of 8/31/09 $1542.38 in the account.
SGB REP MEETING TOMORROW HSC 2014 AT NOON!!NTC Club Fair is Thursday 8/3/09 from 12-1 pm. We will have our table set up. The poster board will be done by Hli and Tony. The flier/sign up sheet will be completed by Robert and Meng. Jackie and Teri will be supplying candies and basket. We will also be passing out eggrolls as appetizers to attract new members. Hli will be talking to IGA and Robert will be talking to Lee Store. I will be writing up a letter (attached to email) so Hli and Robert can give to the prospective donors. HLI--ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PRINT OUT THE LETTER AND SIGN AND GIVE TO IGA. **It would be great if people could come and help pass out the candy and inform new members!**

FYI--- Officer's meeting on Monday, August 31st, 2009 in the cafeteria at noon. We will be talking about the NTC club fair that will be taking place on Thursday Sept. 3, 2009. We need to discuss what we can bring,besides the poster board and probably some candy, bite sized eggrolls, etc. We need to make some fliers for our club so we can pass out to prospective members for this school year. Another topic of discussion is a place to have our first meeting. Are we going to eat as usual, or just meet? I've emailed this to MSC members also so they can know what is going on. If they would like to show up on Monday, that is great. We can have more input.

Good Morning!! Firstly,
Houa, Robert and I talked about who already RSVP. They are:
Teri/Robert, Pa Houa, Hli, Houa+Family, Meng, Matthew, Maria + Family.
(This is as of yesterday 5/11/09). Please
email me back to RSVP by tomorrow at 5 pm. (Robert and I will be out of
town for a funeral, but will be back Thursday!) Robert will be calling
Day's Bowlodome Thursday. We will have lots of door prizes. Prizes
range from t-shirts, sweaters, water bottle w/ NTC logo, and gift
cards! Secondly, on behalf of the Election Committee
for Fall 2009. Be aware that MSC strives on being diverse and very
active with the Hmong community as well as Hmong Association. We are
doing our best to do more community services and fundraising. As an
officer, you are part of an elite group of individuals that represent
all minorities here at NTC. I extend my gratitude towards those who
are willing to run for offices. The offices that are open are:
PRESIDENT, VICE-PRES, SECRETARY, TREASURER AND SGB REP ALTERNATIVE!. I hope to hear from you if you're interested in running for office. We will be voting by ballot at the End of Year Gathering. **OFFICERS: PLEASE BE THERE 15 MINS. EARLY SO WE CAN HAVE A SHORT MEETING!**

Hello Everyone, We are planning our end of the event at Day's Bowl of Dome. It will be held on May 16 at 6PM. The Club will pay for club members only.
If you have others it will cost $6.50 per person which will include
shoes and 1 and 1/2 hour of bowling and pizza and (unlimited soda). Please
let me know by Wednesday if you will be attending. Because I have to
let Day's Bowl a Dome know how many will be attending. We will also have 5 gift cards at $20 dollars each as door prizes. Also other door prizes as well. Come have a blast. We have numerous openings for our Up and coming elections President, Vice-president, Sectary, Tresurer, and SGB Alt-Rep. Chee Yang will be new SGB Rep. or call Hli Moua at 571-4353 and let them know if you are interested in
running for a seat on MSC council. Each individual should have a short
blog about themself and what they could bring to the club. So
if you are interested in running for office let the election comittee
know by Thursday at 3:00 PM so they can make the ballots as it says in

MSC Officers, Members and Esteemed Advisor: As
we are nearing our semester, I just want to say thank you to those of
you who have been helping out when needed. I would like to especially
thank Maria for making our last bake sale a success! Without her baked
goods, our bake sale was not as appealing. THANK YOU MARIA! Your help
is highly appreciated! :) With
that said, I would also like to thank Mai Chou, Houa (member), Teng, Va
and Chee for helping me out w/ the Eggrolls today. I really appreciate
it. Otherwise, I was afraid that I was going to be the only one
there! Other
last minute reminders, it looks our End of the Year Gathering is going
to be at Day's Bowl-a-dome on Stewart Ave. They are willing to give a
good rate of $6.50 per person. Please let me, Robert or Houa know if
you'll be going. The date we set was May 16, 2009 at 6 pm. **If I
have the times wrong, let me know!** Good luck on your finals and have a great summer if I don't see you at the End of the Year Gathering!

Hello Everybody, As you may or may not know we voted to hold our end of the year event a Bowling place. I placed a couple of calls and the best offer
I got is at Day's Bowl a dome. The package deal he gave is cost $6.50
per person which includes pizza and unlimited soda. It includes 1 1/2
hrs of bowling. We also can order other snacks and things. I think
this is a good price because the other place wanted 15 dollars per
person. Please respond to this email to we can get a number to give as
to how many people are coming. Thanks for your time. Hope to see you

HEY
EVERYONE! I hope you are all looking forward to end of the school year
as I am. :) I am sending an attachment with a summary of our orders
for the eggroll fundraiser we are having. We have made a total of
$360. 50% of that goes to Lee Store for making the eggrolls. We have
profited $180 from this. Again, I will need
some help in packaging the eggrolls on WEDNESDAY MORNING FROM 8-10AM.
I'll be there bright and early to get started. I hope to get some
helpers to assist me! Your cooperation is highly appreciated by myself
and the club officers.
